Introvert and Extrovert Personality Types
Introverts are individuals who tend to recharge their energy by spending time alone. They are often more reserved in social situations and prefer quieter environments. They tend to be more reflective and thoughtful, and may not enjoy being the center of attention. This doesn’t mean they’re shy or anti-social, but they tend to have a lower threshold for stimulation.
Extroverts, on the other hand, are individuals who recharge their energy by being around others. Generally extroverts tend to be outgoing, sociable, and thrive in fast-paced environments. They often enjoy being the center of attention and are energized by social interactions. They tend to think out loud and enjoy discussing their ideas with others.
So… Are You An Introvert or an Extrovert?
Start with a self assessment:
- Where do you get most of your energy (alone or with others in a group)?
- From within or from being around others feeding off their frequency?
- Or both?
- Is one primary over the other for you?
Are you people motivated by others or more highly motivated by taking action?
Being a social introvert means that you enjoy being around people but still need some alone time to recharge.
An introvert is a person who is energized by spending time alone and tends to be more reserved in social situations.
An extrovert is a person who is energized by being around others and tends to be outgoing and sociable.
